The Sofa Slam is back again, this November featuring Tyrone Lewis, Sofa Slam champion Terri Pietersen, and Sadie Davidson.

The November Sofa Slam will be accompanied by a workshop 4-6pm on poetry comics. What happens when we combine comicbooks with poetry? Can poetry be something we look at? can drawings be something we read? Explore these questions and make some visual poetry of your own in this free workshop.

The Sofa Slam is Barking & Dagenham's first ever poetry slam. Hosted at the White House in Dagenham, the Sofa Slam follows slam tradition; bringing poetry to the people, into the home. The poetry slam is free and starts at 7pm. To find out more about this event, click here.
