Did you hate your prom? Us too! We’re having our own prom and you’re invited! Designed by and for neurodivergent people, the Anti-Prom is an accessible, alternative celebration for everyone.
On the 7th of December, we are gathering at The White House in Dagenham for a free day of neurodiverse expression and celebration.
From 3pm until 6pm we will be hosting art-based workshops and preparing costumes and decorations for the party. At 7pm we will host our Anti-Prom with performances from neurodiverse artists and an open mic where you can share your unique experience through music, poetry, storytelling, and more. The event is scheduled to end at 9pm. Throughout the night we will operate 3 rooms: a room for music and partying, a room for structured social play, and a quiet breakout room. There will be snacks provided throughout.
6pm to 7pm we will have a break in which hot food will be served. Please contact us with any dietary needs, and you are welcome to bring a packed lunch or go out for food.
The White House is fully wheelchair accessible, including a gender neutral toilet. We have ambient lighting throughout the event, and pronouns & interaction preference stickers available. At any time in the event, staff will be around wearing party hats and ready to assist you. Please contact us with any additional access needs, we're happy to help!
